Kaurna Narungga Kokatha man Clem Newchurch will lead the 2:30pm (Adelaide-time) session on Saturday 2 April.
You’ll learn and hear about:
Clem is a Kaurna Narungga Kokatha man who has resided in the southern Adelaide region for most of his life.
He has extended ancestral connections to the surrounding South Australian Aboriginal Nations of Yankanyjatjara and Ngarrindjeri.
Clem has a passion for native plants that grow around the state of South Australia. He has been developing his cultural artistic practice, learning from Elders and other community members, and sharing his knowledge along the way.
The event has been funded by Green Adelaide.
On top of the bush food event, you’ll also be part of the Grow It Local community.
Food gardening is the perfect way to learn about nature, and a practical way for everyone to help create a cooler, greener and wilder metropolitan South Australia. The Grow It Local platform is all about removing barriers to food gardening.
