Youth environment council
The Youth Environment Council (YEC), founded in 1997 is a year-long program for 60 students from across South Australia.
The yearly program provides students in years 7 to 11 with a community of like-minded peers and supportive mentors, to help them develop leadership skills in their homes, schools, and communities, while working toward their own sustainability projects.
It's run by Green Adelaide as part of Sustainable Schools, and supported by the Department for Education, along with in-kind support from regional Landscape Board staff.
