Adelaide’s volunteer groups deliver weeding, seed collection, monitoring and surveys, plantings, event management, customer service and much more to help look after the environment.

5 ways to find volunteering opportunities in Adelaide

  1. Use the Green Adelaide interactive map, located toward the bottom of this page, and keep your eye out for our next “Meet your local group” session and “Come n try” campaign, promoted via our social media channels.
  2. Get in touch with one of Adelaide’s environment centres for advice https://www.greenadelaide.sa.gov.au/get-involved/visit-an-environment-centre

  4. Explore the websites of local groups that do environmental work. You could start with Friends of Parks SA, National Landcare Directory, Trees for Life, Conservation Australia, Volunteering SA, and Volunteering.gov.au

Is your business looking to make a difference? Why not consider environmental volunteering which helps create a cooler, greener Adelaide? It’s also a great way to connect with your teammates, give back to the community and enjoy the outdoors.

Green Adelaide supports more than 100 groups comprising of over 3500 volunteers to care for our environment. Every year these dedicated people donate around 70,000 hours of work. Many of these volunteers are associated with a park, reserve or community garden that holds some personal significance to them or to their community; and/or are actively contributing to sustainability initiatives such as repair cafes.
